Welcome to this therapeutic space where we celebrate authenticity and delve into deep work.

A bit about my style and therapy philosophy…

If you're seeking a place where you want to explore the root of your concerns, gain self-awareness, nurture connections, and share some laughter along the way, you're in the right spot!

In therapy, I'm all about recognizing how tightly our minds and bodies are linked! Whether it's your child, you or your partner, I'm here to meet you where you're at. Let's chat about your story and figure out ways to get you more in tune with your body and emotions, while shedding light on how your past might be shaping your present.

I truly believe that everyone who walks into my office is giving it their all with where they're at. My job is to help you gain some insight about yourself, offer compassion and support, and then we can chat about what changes you might want to make going forward. Your comfort and experience during our sessions are super important to me, so I'm totally cool with adapting to whatever you need!

Just to give you an idea of what to expect from me - I like to mix some light-heartedness with a lot of purpose in our therapy sessions. You'll find that I'm all about being real with you, sharing a laugh or two, maybe throwing in a swear word or a joke now and then, while also recognizing the significance of our work together.

I was diagnosed as neurodivergent late in life (AuDHD’er here!) , and the process has been life altering for me and my practice. I am committed to making my practice a neurodivergent-affirming space and helping clients learn more about how to understand themselves and live an unmasked and authentic life.

A bit about my background…

I started off with a degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Arizona State, then dabbled in both non-profit and private practice settings. With almost ten years under my belt, I've worked with kids, families, individuals, and couples. Plus, I've got some advanced training in EMDR, IFS, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, which helps me dig deep into your concerns, not just scratch the surface. Also, I'm an approved Clinical Supervisor by AZBBHE, always open to new Supervised Private Practice opportunities or contract supervision for LAMFT’s.

When I’m not in therapy or supervision, you can usually catch me:

  • Engaging in my special interests! (Dogs, Postino, Hiking and F45)

  • Watching game shows

  • Spending time with my Husband & four dogs (Doug is this little guy)! I’d like to believe he’s living pretty Radiantly himself :)

Trauma Therapist

Located at our Biltmore 16 office: 7325 N 16th St Ste A-110 Phoenix, AZ 85020

Hi, I’m Melissa!

As a therapist, I believe that safety and connection are the foundation for healing. Instead of just focusing on solutions, I’m here to help you get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck and struggling. My goal is to create a safe and judgment-free space where you can reconnect with your authentic self and move toward healing. I bring warmth and humor into the therapy process because I believe that genuine connection and even a little laughter can play a big role in healing.

I approach therapy from a relational and attachment-based perspective, always keeping a trauma-informed lens at the heart of my work. I also strive to show up as my genuine self in the therapy room.

I’m trained in IFS (Level 1) and EMDR, with additional training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I also hold a trauma and resiliency certification from the Arizona Trauma Institute.

When I’m not in therapy or supervision, you can usually catch me:

  • Spending time in nature

  • Practicing yoga

  • Learning new things!

  • Being with my family—my husband, our two sons and their wives, our college-aged daughter, and our grandson
